My name is Bernadette and I have been a practicing Counsellor, Psychotherapist in Birmingham West Midlands and the Solihull area for over 20 year's. I am committed to providing a caring, safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.

I am a MBACP counsellor registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP and on the Professional Standards Authority Accredited Register.

I work as a counsellor in private practice, providing Counselling in Birmingham, Counselling in Solihull and Hall Green. Please see my Contact Page for details and to view my Consultation Rooms. I am a Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor, which means I combine several models of Counselling, to fit the needs of each client, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). CBT is the treatment of choice, as recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). As it may be possible to achieve a lot with a few sessions, using CBT. Together we will tailor the therapy to suit you, because I believe we are all individuals with different needs.

I have worked as a Counsellor in Birmingham NHS, Primary Care Trusts, Relationship, Couple Counselling, Addiction Service, Domestic Violence, Occupational Health, Rape and Sexual Abuse, HMP Prison Service and Probation Service. I also continue to work with some of these organisations in my private practice.
