My name is Bernadette and I have been a practicing Counsellor, Psychotherapist in Birmingham West Midlands and the Solihull area for over 20 year's. I am a MBACP counsellor registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP and on the Professional Standards Authority Accredited Register.

I am a Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor, which means I combine several models of Counselling, to fit the needs of each client, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). CBT is the treatment of choice, as recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). As it may be possible to achieve a lot with a few sessions, using CBT. Together we will tailor the therapy to suit you, because I believe we are all individuals with different needs.
I have worked as a Counsellor in Birmingham NHS, Primary Care Trusts, Relationship, Couple Counselling, Addiction Service, Domestic Violence, Occupational Health, Rape and Sexual Abuse, HMP Prison Service and Probation Service. I also continue to work with some of these organisations in my private practice.
